Support our Friday afternoon Soup Kitchen

Our ministry exists solely on food and/or monetary donations from our congregation.  Your donations also support the Shepherds Crook Food Pantry at St. Paul's.  Please help to keep us supplied with non-perishable items such as canned soups and vegetables, peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and chesse, pastas and sauce, etc. As well as personal hygiene aids, diapers and paper products. We really need serving and clean-up help too!!!

Staples Rewards

The next time you are shopping at Staples and they ask you at the check out counter whether you have a rewards card, please give them the church phone number (410-289-7430) to look up the church's rewards card.  On certain items, they will give the church a rebate credit which helps to reduce the cost of office supplies for the church.  This also includes any copies you have made.  Thank You!

Help the Thrift Shop's Outreach Ministry

The Thrift Shop could use some boxes for storage.  If anyone works where copy paper is purchased by the box, these are the perfect size for handling and storage so please bring us as many boxes as you can.

Also needed are gently used Children, Youth and Teen Bibles, Bible Story Books and Prayer Books. Also needed are Adult Bibles, Inspirational Books and Devotions. A container is placed in the hallway for donations.

Donations of tall kitchen size trash bags with draw strings and 30 gallon trash bags with draw strings would be greatly appreciated.  You can drop off in the "Drop Off Room". Contact Diane Kleinfelter or Shirley German at chocolatewhiz11@verizon.net or SGinOC@aol.com.

ANGEL FOOD - HEAVENLY RECIPES FOR DIVINE TASTES

The AUMC Cookbooks are available.  The price is $15.00 each, available at the church ($15.00 + postage if mailed). All proceeds, after the initial cost, will go to support our Soup Kitchen.

They will be available after church services and at the Martha Circle Gift Shop and the Thrift Store.

Backpack Program

This year we have expanded our program from 6 children to 23.  This was made possible by the generous support of many in our congregation, Martha Circle, the staff and teachers at Ocean City Elementary School and a donation from Susquehanna Bank. The Backpack Program supplies 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, drinks and snacks.  We also include 1-2 books on each child's reading level.

The cost is $25.00 a month per child for 10 months. You can also give a one time gift for any amount or bring in enough of one type of food for 21 children.  We make sure all the packs have identical foods in them.  The food needs to be individual sizes and cans must be flip top. You can also volunteer to bring in baked goods or fruit, or to help pack up food, deliver packs to the school or pick up the packs from school.

All of this is available to them because of the generosity of members of our congregation.  You know who you are and all monies, supplies and time are greatly appreciated.

We are looking for Books from reading levels K-4.  If your children have passed these levels and you would like to donate them for next year, or if you have access to books at these levels and would like to donate them please let me know.

Thank you again for your support.
